I'll Be Creating Infectious Engagement

I’m speaking next week at Stanford University’s new School of Design—they call it the d.school. It will be a brief talk, but packed with some of our most fun new videos. The conference is on Creating Infectious Engagement, and is stimulated by a d.school class of the same name.

The class brings together some of the best designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders from Stanford University and Silicon Valley and adds some of the brightest and committed master’s students from across Stanford. Together, they’re a heady mix of social capital, and they take on some incredibly important social issues. It’s a real honor to be invited.

If you’re in the San Francisco Bay area on May 1, then come on down to Stanford and check out the conference. The public is invited.

Details: Thursday May 1st from 3:30 to 6:00. Open to the public. Please RSVP to Joe Mellin at ciersvp@gmail.com. The conference is in the new d.school space in building 524 in the learning theatre.

Need to know a name from the book

I have the book.  I am working for a Defense Contractor and will  (hopefully be the change agent for my company regarding an important item.)  If I knew the Defense Contractor (CEO not imp--just the name of the company) mentioned in the book as having worked with the authors, it might help me influencing the company prez.  I need this info by May 22. Thanks.

Re: I'll Be Creating Infectious Engagement

The contractor in the book was Lockheed Martin, and the project was the Joint Strike Fighter. The executive we worked with most closely was Dain Hancock, the President of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

best wishes,

David
